Remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform developer LabTech Software has entered into a strategic partnership with SurfRight, developer of the popular HitmanPro anti-malware solution.
The partnership between the two companies enables LabTech to offer HitmanPro to its customers and reseller partners. In turn, SurfRight’s customers gain access to the LabTech platform for help in deployment, set up, management, and monitoring of endpoint security across domains, customers, and offices (all from a single console and location).
“Because organizations simply cannot succumb to viruses or malware, a certain level of data protection is more than – it’s imperative,” says SurfRight CEO Mark Loman.†”HitmanPro will ensure that whatever security measures are in place actually work. By teaming with LabTech, we are simplifying†the process to fully protect SMBs’ data like never before.”
HitmanPro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue computers that have become infected with viruses, spyware, Trojans, rootkits, and other threats despite real-time protection from up-to-date antivirus software.†HitmanPro uses innovative cloud computing techniques to detect and remove potential malware threats quickly, with minimal impact on system performance.
“In order to provide the most efficient and effective service to their customers, our partners need to be sure that they have every possible tool they need at their disposal,” says LabTech Software CEO Matt Nachtrab. “The HitmanPro solution offers a level of protection without service disruption to ensure the ultimate endpoint protection. We look forward to the continued growth of our technology relationship to provide for even more added value for our partners.”
The ability to have an out-of-box free scan for every computer under management will enable MSPs to educate their customer base about the need for a second opinion scanner to further protect their data integrity in addition to their existing antivirus products. LabTech can perform a daily malware scan, clean infected systems, and create tickets on active infections.†SurfRight engineers are available to assist if manual remediation is required.
