At Lenovo Accelerate 2012, channel chief Chris Frey outlined a number of new programs and incentives designed to help partners sell and profit. Lenovo is now offering The Lenovo SPIFF Program and new features as part of the SMB Advantage enablement program.
The Lenovo SPIFF Program is a cash program, not a points program, and sales reps can earn up to $10,000 extra per quarter.
“Reps will have the opportunity to sell our product and get paid from us in a very simple and attractive program,” said Frey. The monetary program is not a point and redemption program, and Lenovo has made it easy for reps to register. “There’s not a lot of paperwork. You register, you sell, you get money. That’s how it’s going to work.”
The program is based on TopSeller products and services. Reps earn rewards with each sale, with up to $70 per system or service sold, and a simple online claiming tool loads the rep’s Lenovo Visa Prepaid Card with monthly rewards.
Through June 30, 2012, Lenovo is offering Double SPIFFs. Qualified products include the ThinkStation line, ThinkServer, ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, and related services.
Partners can also look forward to new enablement tools through the Lenovo Partner Network online portal. Offering CustomPoint (a customized marketnig tol), Leasing Tool, Quick Pick, and a Solutions Centre, the new features are part of Lenovo’s SMB Advantage program.
Also at Accelerate 2012, Lenovo announced new servers designed for the SMB market. Lenovo has put much emphasis on this new server approach during the conference, offering VARs double the margins on servers of other Lenovo products and services. “This is the year of the VAR selling servers,” predicted Frey.
