Cisco Cloud Service Expands Managed Services Capabilities for Partners with SMB Customers

Cisco’s new OnPlus, a cloud-based service, enables its channel partners to provide network assessment, management, and advisory services to SMB customers.

Cisco, a networking provider, is now offering a new cloud-based service to offer its channel partners a way to provide network assessment, management, and advisory services to SMB customers. The new cloud-based service, called OnPlus, enables VARs to create or expand their managed services practice with remote monitoring and management and professional services automation. For a limited time, Cisco has a special introductory offer to help partners get started.

OnPlus provides remote visibility of the network and devices attached to the network, allowing partners to deploy advanced network services from anywhere at any time. To monitor a customer network, partners plug the OnPlus Network Agent appliance into a switch or router on their customer’s network, which then transmits information about the network to a secure data center for access by the partner.

OnPlus also enables remote connectivity to manageable network devices, facilitating troubleshooting and configuration. For select Cisco devices, OnPlus can automate typical administrative tasks. This task automation enables partners to service more customers without the need for a larger technical staff.

The Cisco OnPlus Service is available at a list price of $250, which includes a three-year subscription to the OnPlus Service and OnPlus Network Agent appliance. A separate appliance and subscription service is required for each network being managed. For more information on the introductory offer, contact your Cisco Channel Sales rep.
