Synnex, the IT product and services distributor, made several announcements from its Varnex ’11 conference in Boston April 10 – 12. The company is now offering a managed services portfolio within its Technology Solution Division On Demand’s IT group, and is also adding the capability for its partners to develop mobile applications on the Windows Phone 7 platform.
With the new managed services suite, Synnex asserts that MSPs will be able to move into the midmarket and enterprise more easily without investing in an infrastructure. Supported directly by Synnex’s NOC, the suite leverages RMM tools to remotely manage customers’ networks and help partners provide consultation and advice to customers.
Fully integrated with standard and custom features, including a unified Web-based dashboard, managed email security, data backup/recovery services, power management, and endpoint security, the service “bundles” make it easy to deploy product, with day-to-day management by Synnex.
In addition to the managed services portfolio, the distributor is enabling its partners to develop mobile applications on the Windows Phone 7 platform, expanding their ability to provide mobility solutions to their customers.
The Varnex Spring 2011 Conference Mobile Application was developed by the Synnex Mobile Apps team on Windows Phone 7, Android, iPhone, HP Palm Web OS, and Blackberry platforms. Synnex and its partners now can develop and deliver end-to-end cross-platform mobile applications with the addition of Windows Phone 7 platform.
