Westcon Group Adds Palo Alto Networks Products
The IT distributor’s security group will now provide Palo Alto network security solutions along with product training, pre-and post-sales support, financing, and other services.
IT distributor Westcon Group Inc. announced this week that its security business unit has begun distributing the entire line of network security solutions from Palo Alto Networks.
“Security remains a solid area of investment for Westcon Group,” states the company’s official press release on the subject, “as more resellers are engaging in cloud-based services and application-oriented network deployments.
In addition to offering Palo Alto Networks network security solutions, Westcon Security will offer product training, pre-and post-sales support, financing, and other complementing services to its qualified resellers.
said Lynn Murphy, senior vice president of Westcon Group, says the addition of Palo Alto Networks products came in direct response to customer feedback. “This strategic partnership extends the breadth and strength of our security portfolio,” she says. “Our goal is to provide a single source for our customers’ security needs.”
At the same time, Palo Alto Networks says it is pleased by the agreement, as it extends the company’s customer reach. “By teaming up with Westcon, we can further empower our channel to help companies properly address today’s enterprise security challenges,” says Palo Alto Networks vice president of worldwide sales Larry Link.
Solutions from Palo Alto Networks integrate with many other products in Westcon Group’s portfolio, including solutions from Cisco, Avaya, Extreme Networks, and others.
