TrippLite Adds Two More Products to Its SmartRack Line
Two 12U wall-mount rack enclosure cabinets are released. One model features extended depth; the other a Plexiglas front door insert.
Tripp Lite introduced two 12U wall-mount rack enclosure cabinets this month. One model features extended depth and heavy-duty construction (SRW12US33). Another model (SRW12USG) features a Plexiglas front door insert.
The new 12U models are the latest additions to the company’s SmartRack Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinets. The cabinets are ideal for housing IT equipment in network and wiring closets, back offices, branch offices, or other areas where floor space is limited.
“As rack equipment proliferates beyond the data center, it’s more important than ever for IT managers to make the best possible use of available space,” said
Tripp Lite product manager Craig Watkins says the new wall-mount rack cabinets are “ideal for applications where large rack enclosures won’t fit or consume too much floor space, such as network/wiring closets and remote sites.” He adds, “These two new cabinets with their special features provide even more flexibility in the choice of an optimum rackmount solution for facilities of all kinds.”
Both models may also be fitted with an optional Rolling Caster Kit for conversion to floor-standing units that can easily be rolled out of the way under desks, tables, or counters.
Other features of the new products include:
- Hinged cabinet
- Locking, reversible front door and locking, removable side panels
- Perforated cabinet for ventilation
- Top and bottom panel cable access openings
The SRW12US33 model includes extended mounting depth and heavy-duty construction. It sports a 250-lb. load capacity.
The SRW12USG model features a Plexiglas door insert and sports a 200-lb. load capacity.
