Zscaler Integrates Web and Messaging Security in a Single Service
Company claims the new version of its cloud-based service “gives new meaning to, and defines a new standard for, integrated Web and email security services.”
Cloud security innovator Zscaler Inc. announced its integrated email and Web security service last week. Calling the service “the industry’s first” service of its kind, Zscaler says the service also consolidates multiple point products, simplifies IT administration, increases security, and reduces costs.†
Zscaler’s latest service offering aims to render mutually exclusive Web and messaging security a thing of the past.
In a press release submitted to EH Publishing, Zscaler states, “While many vendors talk about Web and email integration, offerings are limited to a common dashboard.” The company adds, “Beyond that lie two disparate user interfaces as well as multiple policy managers and reporting systems.”
To complement its Web security offering, therefore, Zscaler has now extended its infrastructure to also provide email security service that protects against spam and malware. Features of the latest offering include spam and phishing blocking, virus and spyware protection, flexible policies for mail flow and encryption, data loss prevention for SMTP and webmail, and various reporting options.
“The new version of Zscaler gives new meaning to, and defines a new standard for, integrated Web and email security services,” says Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry. “It also provides us unrivalled visibility into evolving threats across mail and Web globally.”
Highlights of the new service include:
- Single Policy–A single manager for email and web security policies
- Integrated Security–Content inspection and dynamic classification
- Integrated Reporting–Holistic visibility for email and Web, with unified reporting powered by Zscaler’s patented NanoLog technology
- Common DLP–A single user interface and policy manager for data loss prevention
The new Zscaler service is immediately available, with integrated email and web security services ranging from $1 to $5 per user per month depending upon the size of the customer organization and number of services selected.
