N-Able Technologies Launches Free PWDManager
The password management tool for Windows enables IT administrators to work with all IT account passwords from a single, centralized console.
Remote network and systems management software developer N-able Technologies has announced the free availability of its PWDManager password management tool for Windows.
The tool is designed to as a means for managing all IT account passwords from a single, centralized console.
Offered free of charge by N-able to IT administrators and managers, the company claims PWDManager to be valued at $249. “The downloadable software installs in seconds and instantly delivers capabilities for reporting, editing, and setting account passwords and their properties by domain, servers, and workstations from any location,” the company says in a statement to EH Publishing.
Launched to the SMB market earlier this year, N-able reports that its N-central 7.0 with Endpoint Security Manager has already been deployed by thousands of IT service organizations. N-central 7.0 is available as on-premise software or in a software-as-a-service model. Now, the company hopes to provide PWDManager as a useful add-on.
Some of the features of PWDManager include:
- Ability to search entire networks and find all password properties according to specific criteria
- Processing capabilities that extend to all selected accounts on servers, workstations, or domains simultaneously
- Password management functions that can be executed without agent or client software
- Multiple account, domain, or local system selection for changing, editing, reporting, or setting account passwords and properties
N-able’s PWDManager is downloadable from the company’s Web site.
