Smartphones Are on a Roll
If your clients skew more toward baby boomers rather than Gen Xers, now might be the right time to pitch them a smartphone.

The number of smartphone users is set to quadruple, exceeding 1 billion worldwide by 2014, according to market researcher Parks Associates. In addition to its core demographic of young, tech-savvy users, the technology is being embraced by more budget-conscious, middle-aged users for mobile email as well as by others who want mobile Internet service. So while there’s been a steady interest for higher-end smartphone models in the SMB market, midrange and entry-level models with popular features may now present additional opportunities for channel pros.
