Level Platforms Inc. (LPI) has released Service Pack 1 for its Managed Workplace 2010 product.
LPI‘s Service Pack provides users with several performance enhancements as well as the option to monitor and manage roaming laptops not connected to a local network without the need for local agents being installed on the remote devices.
Two new features–Offsite Gateway and Offsite Assistant–work together to enable monitoring of offsite Internet-connected laptops as if they were local. The Offsite Gateway feature creates a zero-touch VPN connection with Offsite Assistant-enabled laptops.
Other updates and enhancements of the Service Pack 1 release an increase to 500 concurrent remote connections at the Service Center, requested site communication override settings, device identity improvements, and fixes for issues identified since the release of Managed Workplace 2010.
SP1 also includes new and updated best practices Policy Modules for 28 products from Avaya, Axcient, Canon, Cisco, Elfiq, HP, Microsoft, NetGear, OKI, Symantec, Trend Micro, Datto, and VMware.
