Akorri’s infrastructure management software solution sees expanded interoperability, expanded storage performance analysis, and improved ease-of-use.
Virtual infrastructure developer Akorri has made some key updates to its flagship BalancePoint software. 
BalancePoint is a virtual infrastructure management software solution designed to optimize virtual infrastructures, physical servers, and storage devices. IT organizations use BalancePoint to quickly isolate performance problems, reduce infrastructure costs, and enable service-level management of data center infrastructure.†
Akorri CEO Allan Wallack says demand for performance management tools is on the rise, precipitating the software update. “As virtualization implementations continue to mature, IT organizations are realizing the importance of having best of breed performance management tools,” he says. “BalancePoint’s analytics-based performance management is critical in providing these organizations the confidence necessary to virtualization more of their mission critical applications.”
The new version of BalancePoint includes:
- Broader Interoperability–IBM XIV Storage, Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), and LPAR support and Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) support
- Expanded Storage Performance Analysis–Platform specific reports to quickly troubleshoot performance issues and plan capacity
- Improved Ease of Use–Simplified installation, quicker navigation, and streamlined reporting
