N-able Technologies Gears N-central for MSPs
Company says its N-central 7.0 technology and related programs represent a $75 million investment to “stimulate the rapid adoption of managed services worldwide.”
N-able Technologies, developer of remote monitoring and management software for managed service providers and IT departments, has made its new N-central 7.0 technology with Endpoint Security Manager software available to existing N-able partners worldwide. General market availability is expected sometime in January.
Endpoint Security Manager provides an integrated and centralized endpoint security module that includes anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-malware, personal firewall, and host intrusion prevention for Windows devices, along with monitoring, remote control, and full asset reporting.
N-central 7.0 ushers in a new age in software for MSPs: the “freemium” RMM platform–that is, the software is available via a hybrid of free and paid licenses. N-central 7.0 also introduces a number of MSP-centric features, like managed endpoint security, so-called “self-healing,” and full compatibility with Windows 7.
N-able Technologies reports that the “freemium” N-central 7.0 software and related programs represent a $75-million investment. The company made the investment, states a recent press release on the topic, in order to “stimulate the rapid adoption of managed services worldwide.”
Company president and CEO Gavin Garbutt says N-able’s N-central 7.0 technology and Endpoint Security Manager positions the company’s partners to “bring the benefits of managed services mainstream.”
“As an industry, nearly 90 percent of IP-enabled devices used by SMBs remain unmanaged,” says Garbutt. “That’s an astounding sales and service opportunity that’s staring our MSP partners right in the face.”
As part of the N-central 7.0 launch, N-able has announced that each of its partners with current N-central maintenance and support subscriptions will receive a matching number of newly introduced free “Essential Licenses” for all professional licenses purchased. The company adds that, for a limited time, these partners will receive double the amount of new Endpoint Security Manager licenses, valid for one year with no extra charge.
